GHG SCOPE 1, 2, & 3 EMISSIONS AUDIT

A thorough report that highlights your companies total emissions (per property) to set future goals

Service Description

A GHG (greenhouse gas) emission audit is a process of measuring, reporting, and verifying an organization's greenhouse gas emissions. These emissions are categorized into three different scopes, which are as follows: Scope 1 emissions: These emissions are direct emissions from sources that are owned or controlled by the organization, such as emissions from burning fossil fuels in company-owned vehicles, generators, or boilers. Scope 2 emissions: These emissions are indirect emissions from the generation of purchased energy, such as electricity or heat, consumed by the organization. They are called indirect because the emissions occur at the source where the energy is generated, but the organization indirectly contributes to those emissions by using the energy. Scope 3 emissions: These emissions are indirect emissions from activities outside the organization's operational control, but are associated with the organization's activities, such as emissions from the production of purchased goods and services, transportation of goods and people, and disposal of waste. An organization's GHG inventory can be used to identify emission reduction opportunities and to track progress toward emissions reduction goals. By understanding the sources and quantities of GHG emissions, an organization can develop and implement strategies to reduce emissions, mitigate risks, and contribute to a sustainable future.
